Aylsham Farmers Market
Aylsham Farmers Market provides local produce at good prices not only helping you to reduce your food miles but also your petrol bill!
Known as a ‘Foodie’ town, not only does your local producers provide some of the best food and drinks in the area, as does the independent shops and restaurants within the town
In conjunction with Slow Food Aylsham, Aylsham Farmers Market stages a series of free cooking demonstrations featuring local chefs throughout the summer months of May through September
Held in the Market Place, a marquee houses the chefs and their cooking equipment with all of the ingredients being sourced from the wide range of local produce available on the Market and visitors are invited to taste the finished products.
In 2002 Aylsham held its first farmers market and it was a huge success so now it is a weekly recurrence! It was hugely supported by producers, the public and shop traders alike as it brought more people into the town.
In 2004 the farmers market received full FARMA accreditation, this makes sure the market is run by very strict rules. We have been reaccredited every year which shows the high standard we have.
Nearly all the producers who started with us in 2002 are still with our farmers market. In 2008 we won the Eastern Daily Press Food Award for best Farmers' Market and we were also the finalists in 2011.
