Old Town Hall House
Old Town Hall House is an elegant guest house set in the picturesque village of Cley-Next-The-Sea, where chef James Walker offers a weekly gourmet supper club.
Our king sized beds are dressed with feather and down pillows, 10 tog duvets and a blanket/throw. Hyper allergenic bedding is available on request. During hot weather spells, 4.5 tog duvets are available on request. Each room contains a Nespresso machine and a kettle with a selection of complimentary teas and coffees, fresh milk and biscuits which are replenished daily.
There is a flat-screen Sony Bravia TV in each room, offering Freeview channels and a USB port for streaming content from other devices. Instructions for how to work the TV can be found in the guest information folder.
A hairdryer is stored in the chest of drawers. An iron and ironing board can be provided on request and each room has a Roberts internet radio, with USB port for MP3 players, as well as access to free, super-fast WiFi throughout the house.
We are very aware of the environment and in order to save water, linens are changed every three days of your stay and the towels we urge you to reuse by hanging them back on the hooks. Towels left in the bath or show will gladly be changed.
Breakfast is served between 8am and 10am every day, but should you require an early / late breakfast, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
We are fully licensed to serve alcohol for consumption on or off the premises. Evening drinks are available by prior arrangement, and can be served in your room or the library between 6pm-7pm. During Sunday, Wednesday and Friday evening meals, drinks are available to order throughout the evening until 11pm.
Two-course evening meals are available to book in advance (48 hrs notice required) on Wednesdays & Sundays. On Friday evenings, we offer a fixed menu, three-course evening meal, which is available to book until the Monday before each date, as we allow non residents to book any spaces not reserved by residents.
Since our village with its tiny high street was built well before cars were invented, most old properties in Cley - including ours - have no space for off street parking. However, parking is free on the High Street outside Old Town Hall House. In addition, Cley village car park is free, spacious, and only a short walk away.
We welcome children and are able to accommodate up to two children under 12 years old at any one time. Our Spoonbill room is the only room suitable for accommodating two children on separate fold out beds - Kestrel room can accommodate one fold out bed, and the Sandpiper and Böckling rooms can fit one small child on a mattress only.
Pets: unfortunately, we are not able to welcome pets, or even guide dogs, anywhere in the house, as our daughter is severely allergic.
Old Town Hall House is strictly a non-smoking establishment. You may smoke outside the front door, but please ask for an ashtray, and dispose of your cigarette ends responsibly.
