The Eastwood Whelpton boat yard is situated at Upton in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, ideal for exploring the northern part of the Broads and the southern broads and rivers are easily accessible too.
Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced salty sailor, the Norfolk Broads is a very safe place to sail. Watch this short clip to see what you could look forward to:
We are sure you will want to return time after time to experience the challenge and fun of close quarters sailing.
Our fleet of 8 traditional Broads River Cruisers are traditional low freeboard inland waterways cruising and racing yachts with the core design dating back to Victorian times when holidays in Norfolk became popular with the gentry of the time.
Bootlegger our oldest lady of the fleet dates from 1923 with a traditional wooden hull and construction. The others are built with fibreglass hulls following traditional designs for ease of maintenance but replicating original materials above the waterline to maintain the heritage look. They all have cabins with lifting roofs to provide headroom around 6ft when moored and accommodate between 3 and 6 berths. Lengths are between 30 and 34 ft and all can be sailed by crews of 2 or more.
Come and enjoy this unique holiday, which as you are under sail, allows you to take your time to experience the Norfolk Broads with all its flora and fauna in a quiet and relaxing way.
There is so much to see and do along your journey, but you can return to the much needed luxury comfort of your yacht at night to experience the beautiful sunsets over a mystical shine on the water.
If the wind isn't filling your sails, the onboard engine lets you easily dip into the real world of Broad-side shops, pubs and fascinating heritage sites.
We offer our yachts for short breaks and full week holidays with discounts for consecutive weeks, but if you prefer day sailing half deckers then we have the perfect fleet for you to have fun in with family and friends.
So go on, indulge your romantic notions and try a sailing holiday of your dreams.
