The Greyhound is a traditional village pub in the picturesque village of Hickling, near the Potter Heigham and Stalham in the northern part of the Norfolk Broads. You are guaranteed to always get a warm welcome, not only from our staff but also from our local 'characters'.
We are family friendly and more than happy for dogs to be with their owners at the bar. During the winter months we have an open fire and a sheltered smoking area for our customers, while in the summer we have a sun-trap front terrace. We also offer wifi free of charge.
Beyond the bar we have a separate dining room and a beautiful enclosed cottage garden.
Our menu features Specials and pub favourites, and is updated regularly according to the season. We use meat from our local butcher and fresh produce wherever possible. In addition to our main menu, we serve a snacks and sandwiches menu at lunchtimes, and on Sunday lunchtimes we serve a selection of roasts with all the trimmings.
Please let us know if you have any allergies, or dietary requirements, and our Head Chef Mark will do his best to adapt a dish to suit your needs.
Our bar serves a number of well-kept local and guest real ales and a selection of wines and spirits, including a collection of single malts. Our coffee is freshly ground from fairtrade beans roasted in East Anglia, and all our staff are barista-trained.
Food is served 12pm to 2:30pm for lunch, and 6pm to 9pm for dinner, everyday*. We offer an a-la-carte menu with home-made pub classics, family favourites, and chef’s specials. In addition we have a light-bites menu available at lunchtimes, and our traditional Roasts are available at lunchtime on Sundays.
