Snettisham Park is a working Norfolk farm which opened it's gates to the public in 1986 so they could share the joy of the farm that farmers knew and loved, it is used to grow wheat for animal feed, Malting Barley, Sugar Beet and Grass, grazed by our 400 ewe flock, our herd of red deer, and horses and ponies from our stables.
Through the seasons we open up the farm to the visitors who come here, which allows you to see all the wonderful things that happen in farm life which doesn't just occur in one particular season. From deer and lambs being born or crops being harvested and sown or just the wonderful part of the countryside in Norfolk.
If you're in the mood for something a little different then you can try out our safari land rover ride to allow you to get up close to herd of deer. During the 45 minute round trip in the vehicle you will have the unique opportunity to meet and feed (yes, you can feed them) an amazing herd of red deer which contains 60 hinds and 2 stags. The deer are very friendly and they allow you a once in a lifetime experience to feed them from your hand which they enjoy very much.
The park is known as an all round experience for knowledge of life on the farm, but because we are a working establishment there is lots for you to see and do, so there is not much that will make you lose interest. We have many activities that you can try out and enjoy, whether it's feeding, stroking, grooming, cuddling, collecting or playing.....a trip to Snettisham Park is a very hands on experience!
After your long day at the farm you may want find out more or to relax and have a nice hot beverage to end your visit, if this the case then be sure to check out our visitor centre and tea room, enjoy something delicious or buy a nice thing from our gift shop to remember your day at the farm. If you need any further information all staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have so be sure to come down and check us out.
